Intelligent Installations has launched a range of integrated multi-camera solutions for commercial vehicles working within the road transport and logistics sectors. Combining the latest internal and external cameras, mobile digital video recorders (DVRs) and proximity sensors, these systems will help improve road safety, reduce insurance costs and comply with accreditation initiatives such as FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme).

A number of options will be available to vehicle operators to cover urban transport, 360o internal and external protection and reversing safety, as well as bespoke solutions using DVR units for both four and eight cameras that can be tailored to meet precise requirements. In addition, proximity sensors are available as a side detection system to better protect cyclists and pedestrians or a front corner detection system to drive down costly repair bills and vehicle downtime from low speed bumps and scrapes.

Unlike other systems in the marketplace, the multi-camera solutions have been designed with the demands and challenges of the road transport environment in mind and Intelligent Installations is the only supplier to offer three-year warranty as standard. All the external cameras possess an IP67 or IP69 enclosure rating using robust steel casings, with aviation-style cabling and secure screw type connectors that ensure unrivalled levels of performance and protection. Meanwhile, remote health check, using a wifi network at a depot, alerts of any issues to minimise vehicle downtime and eliminate any potential loss of video footage.

Errin McNamee, Director of Intelligent Installations commented: “This range of multi-camera solutions has been developed to not only help improve road safety and enhance driver behaviour, but also capture video footage in the event of an incident to defend against wrongful driving allegations and reduce costly insurance claims. We provide a managed solution including all installation and ongoing support, making us the ideal partner for all commercial vehicle operators.”
