Skillweb CEO Paul Ridden is presented with the certification

Software specialist Skillweb has achieved the internationally-recognised ISO27001 certification. The company behind employee scheduling and mobile workforce management solution SmartTask has adopted the Information Security Management System (ISMS) as part of its commitment to client data safety.

“This latest development will further reassure our growing base of clients that we know how to look after their data safely and securely,” explains Paul Ridden, CEO of Skillweb. “Having achieved the requirements of NHS Connecting for Health’s Information Governance Statement of Compliance (IGSOC) for the past eight years, it made sense for us to take the next step and become ISO27001 certified.”

Skillweb has put in place the highest possible level of ISMS, which includes six monthly external audits to validate the continued adherence to the standard. As a result, the company will be best-placed to build on its track record of high systems availability and security within the increasingly challenging cloud environment, as well as continuing to invest in making SmartTask the best Software as a Service (SaaS) solution available in the marketplace.

“We understand that data security and protection of personal information is high on our clients’ agendas. ISO27001 will not only help us protect our clients’ corporate data, but we will be investing further in SmartTask to ensure it is the best platform to allow them to manage their personal data responsibilities under GDPR, which comes in to force next year,” concludes Ridden.
