Ctrack, an Inseego company, is supporting a growing number of entrepreneurs and emerging businesses within the UK by providing added visibility and control over their fleet operations as they expand. Gripit, a plasterboard fixing specialist that found fame on Dragons’ Den, is the latest company to take advantage of the Ctrack Online web-based vehicle tracking system to achieve added fleet safety, security and efficiency, while streamlining related administrative processes.

Gripit had been using an alternative tracking system to monitor three vans used to transport raw materials and finished products to and from UK-based manufacturing sites. However, the company had become frustrated with the lack of support and functionality provided by the telematics partner, so approached Ctrack about its evolving tracking requirements. Gripit initially fitted Ctrack Online on three cars, used by a new field sales force introduced to support the rapid expansion of the business, and has now rolled out the system to a further nine vehicles and replaced the original tracking system in the three vans.

Ctrack Online is being used to provide complete visibility of the 15-strong fleet operation with office-based staff able to see the exact location of any vehicle in an instant. This is not only providing added levels of security, but Gripit can also monitor how the vehicles are being driven to support a strict road safety strategy and better protect its reputation. In addition, the company is using the system to track expenses, mileage and business/private usage, which is helping to gain operational savings while reducing the administrative burden associated with fleet-related reporting.

Sophie Newell, Executive Assistant to the CEO at Gripit commented: “We needed a telematics partner that understood our changing fleet needs as the business grows. This means not only providing a functional vehicle tracking system, but also having the necessary support to make the whole process as simple as possible and offer guidance when required. Ctrack has always been on hand to ensure we had the right product in place that would deliver real value to the business.”

John Wisdom, European Managing Director of Ctrack said: “We recognise the unique requirements of smaller, fast-growing operations, in terms of flexibility, support and resource availability. By understanding these precise needs, we are able to provide a highly-effective vehicle tracking solution that is backed up by an experienced and industry-leading team. This is enabling our customers to meet their fleet objectives and achieve clear return on investment.”
