The camera monitoring solution will support higher levels of duty of care and an improved claims process

Intelligent Telematics, the leading provider of connected vehicle camera solutions, has introduced a 24/7 monitoring solution, to provide immediate visibility of all road collisions, near misses and other notable driving events. The solution will enable fleets using Intelligent Telematics’ Surecam single and two camera systems to increase the level of duty of care they offer to drivers, while better managing the insurance claims process.

The 24/7 call centre will actively monitor all incoming alerts, reviewing the associated video footage and vehicle data. This will enable each incident to be graded as either a road traffic collision or near miss and an email notification sent to an agreed list of contacts within 30 minutes of it taking place. For fleets with a dedicated claims response service in place the video can be dispatched directly to them so that an operative can proactively contact the driver in the event of a crash, call the emergency services if required and commence the claims process.

An incident report will provide the fleet operator with a detailed overview of each event. This will allow relevant teams within the organisation – such as transport, operations, health and safety, human resources and insurance – to respond based on what took place, so they can confirm the welfare of drivers and ensure appropriate procedures are being followed. A customisable monthly management report will also provide a breakdown of all alerts by grade, locations and time of day to offer added operational insight and support any corporate safety initiatives.

Justin White, Managing Director of Intelligent Telematics commented: “Having the ability to proactively respond to captured video footage is critical when protecting drivers who are out on the road and for keeping operating costs to a minimum. Most organisations do not possess the ability to review every incident around the clock, so we have created this advanced camera monitoring service to help them operate more responsibly and efficiently.”

Intelligent Telematics’ SureCam devices are the leading single and two camera solutions for vehicle operations, providing increased protection against fraudulent insurance claims, false driving allegations and disputed liability. They use the most sophisticated mobile technology so that HD footage of any collision, near miss or harsh driving incident is captured and automatically transmitted within moments of it happening. Unlike other systems in the marketplace, the videos and supporting data are uploaded to a secure server network with no user intervention required, making them the only truly effective connected vehicle cameras for First Notification of Loss (FNOL).

Intelligent Telematics will be showcasing the monitoring solution and its range of connected cameras at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2018 (Stand 4H70) that is taking place at NEC, Birmingham from the 24th – 26th April 2018. For anyone wanting to set up an appointment during the event can email cvshow@intelligent-telematics.co.uk.
