Ctrack Online will be used to monitor 265 vans in Edwin James Group’s fleet

Edwin James Group, a leading facilities engineering services business operating across the UK, has appointed Ctrack by Inseego as its telematics partner to support the ongoing transformation of the business. The company will adopt the web-based Ctrack Online to monitor a fleet of 265 vans, used by its nationwide team of engineers, to improve road safety, operational productivity and fleet efficiency.

Following a competitive tender process, Edwin James Group selected the Ctrack solution to roll-out across all its operating businesses that deliver a range of mechanical, electrical, energy, and process engineering services. Certain areas of the group had previously used vehicle tracking, but this will be the first time a centralised system has been adopted that provides complete visibility and control over its vans and drivers.

The Ctrack telematics system will include a Driver ID solution, so Edwin James Group will be able to see which driver is operating a vehicle at all times, gaining greater insight into the status, whereabouts and actions of individual employees both historically and in real-time. This will be combined with an extensive reporting package including the executive dashboard and speed band report. Ctrack Online will be used by the company’s central fleet team, based in Glasgow, as well as providing controlled access to managers at each business unit.
